To help you pay a final tribute that respects your loved one’s wishes,
we offer complete traditional funeral services.
You choose what best suits your family, at your own pace.
- a meeting with an advisor to discuss the ceremony,
the type of rite (religious or secular) and the day’s proceedings; - guidance in choosing an urn or in renting / purchasing a casket,
as well as, if desired, items such as memorial bookmarks and the condolence book; - the preparation of the deceased (washing, embalming, hairstyling, makeup)
or cremation,
according to the wishes of the deceased and the family; - the organization of the viewing at the complex, in a parlor or chapel,
with the display of photos, tributes, and music; - the direction of the funeral, at the complex, at the church
or in another place of worship chosen by the family; - the hearse procession and transportation of the deceased
to the cemetery, columbarium, or crematorium; - if necessary, coordination with the cemetery or columbarium
and support for certain administrative procedures related to the death.

- the immediate cremation of the deceased;
- the necessary legal formalities and administrative fees;
- an eco-friendly transport urn for the return of the ashes;
- the creation of a digital obituary;
- the viewing of the urn at the church, the chapel of the funeral home, or the funeral home itself, to allow family and friends to gather;
- the presence of a co-director to accompany the family during the ceremony;
- if necessary, a lead vehicle for the procession and movements related to the funeral.

FOR MORE TRADITIONAL FUNERALS
If you wish for a complete funeral with casket and viewing, our team can integrate
more traditional services into your arrangements. Depending on your needs, rites, and beliefs,
we can specifically arrange for:
- professional presentation and embalming care to allow for a final visit with dignity;
- the rental or purchase of a casket adapted to your preferences and budget;
- the viewing at the funeral home or chapel, with venue setup, photos, tributes, and music;
- a religious or secular ceremony at our chapel or at the church, in collaboration with the officiant of your choice;
- the use of our reception hall to gather family and friends after the funeral;
- the drafting and dissemination of the obituary, as well as coordination with the cemetery or columbarium.

pre-arrangements.
AFTER THE FUNERAL
Once the ceremonies are completed or upon signing the contract, we will provide you with all necessary documents to settle the estate:
- death certificate from the funeral home
- registration of death with the Director of Civil Status of Quebec
- cremation certificate
Next, you will need to confirm the arrangements made by the deceased or consult family members to ascertain their final wishes. If the deceased has a will, you will need to contact a notary. You will find the information you need for estate settlement on Éducaloi, the website of the Barreau du Québec, or that of the Chambre des notaires du Québec.
Complexe funéraire Lachance assists you in obtaining your $2,500 QPP refund by declaring the death to the Director of Civil Status* and promptly issuing your receipt for paid funeral expenses.
